Protect your Whakapap
Simple, clean, you do the test at home, every two years.

Bowel Screening is designed to find bowel cancer early in those people who don't have any symptons.

This simple, clean and free test kit is sent to the home of 60 - 74 year olds, who, on completing the test, and the consent form, pop it in the post to the lab.

Within 3 weeks you will be contacted with your results and told what this means for you. If you require any follow-up tests or treatment this is FREE within the public health system.

FILM NIGHT

On the last Friday of every month (with the exception of December) MAVtech runs a film night in conjunction with 'Blast from the Past Cinema'. The Museum opens at 6pm for viewing of our historic technological items, Entry $10.00. Then at 7pm we screen a variety of short films including old news reels (the way we used to get the news before TV), sports, cartoons, comedy and general interest. Finishing at about 9pm. Come and meet some new and interesting people.

SAVE OUR RIVER TRUST MEETINGS

Meetings are held at 10am on the last Sunday of each month at the Te Awahou Nieuwe Stroom building, 92 Main Street, Foxton. All are welcome!
Our prime objective is to reintroduce more water from the main river channel into the Loop. To this end we are gradually making progress towards establishing a new channel from the river into the Loop from just West of the power boat ramp and running north for about 400m to the loop. We are a volunteer group that is dedicated to seeing our river restored to its' original beauty and make it more usable for our local community.
For further information contact Jeremy Manks, manks@outlook.co.nz or phone 027 273 3836.
